Sin Can’t Win and Faith Can’t Fail – Judges 4:1-16

Israel were eating the fruit of their own deeds and then complaining about it. God raised up an enemy – the king of Canaan. When the people cried to God then God heard and delivered them.

1 – The woman God chose (vs 4-5)

Her name was Deborah and she was a prophetess. God gave to her supernatural wisdom.

2 – The warrior that God called (vs 6-9)

God calls Barak to fight for Him. Deborah tells Barak that it is a man’s job to lead an army. Barak was a mighty man of faith. See Hebrews 11:32-33. They were a mighty time together. Barak’s faith came from the Word of God. The object of his faith was in the Lord God of Israel. The operation of his faith was obeying God.

3 – The wonder God caused (vs 10-16)

The king of Canaan had every reason to believe that numerous chariots and past victories would mean that he would win. See Psalm 20:7. His trust was in horses and chariots rather than in the Lord. The whole universe is against the man who goes against God! Sin can’t win and faith can’t fail. Satan is sailing a sinking ship. Success is finding which way God is going and following Him. Have faith in God. God lines up the Universe against those who are against Him.
