Jesus Christ is a FACT of history. This man was here upon the earth. There are no historians who doubt this. There are plenty of hostile witnesses both ancient and modern who accept that Jesus was here.

The Christian church is a witness to the life of Jesus Christ. The church has a central message that Jesus arose from the dead and is alive today. The church has existed for centuries with this message. Jesus appeared to many witnesses. These witnesses were prepared to die for what they saw.

See John 6:44-45. The Bible is the Word of God. How can we know this?

• Fulfilled prophecy.
• The unity of the Bible despite so many authors in different countries.
• The longevity of the Bible. There has been many attempts to banish and destroy it – yet it remains throughout the centuries. It has outlasted empires.
• The accuracy of the Bible. There is scientific and historical accuracy in the Bible.
• The power of the Bible. The words of the Bible have changed lives and been the foundation for civilizations.

The central theme of the Bible is Jesus Christ. He is the hero of the Bible. See Acts 10:43. The prophets spoke about Jesus. Jesus was born of a virgin. He was sinless. He healed the sick. Yet he was misunderstood and put to death by men. It was part of the plan of God that he chose to die. He was able to raise Himself from the dead. He was able to do this because He was God.

See John 6:33. It is the Spirit that helps us comprehend who Jesus really is. See 1 John 5:6-10. It is the Holy Spirit who bears witness to the truth of Jesus Christ. The witness of God is greater than that of man. The Holy Spirit will witness to you and then he will witness from you – when He changes your life. We are to taste and see that the Lord is good.

See John 6:68. Peter knew personally that Jesus was the Son of the Living God. Jesus is personal. He is real to me on a personal level. There has been imposters and hypocrites. Judas betrayed Jesus. The best people I know love Jesus. Give your life to Jesus for all these reasons. No one else has the words of eternal life. If you pray asking God for forgiveness, He will come into your heart today and forgive your sins.
