The number seven is used throughout the book of the Revelation. The number for the Beast is six. You can see the handiwork of God in nature, astronomy, chemistry, biology. There is a mathematical arrangement in all these things. There is a symbolism of numbers in the Bible.

1 – One is for unity

One is the number for unity in the Bible. Deut 6:4; Zech 14:9 & Ephesians 4:4-6.

2 – Two is for witness

Two is the number of witness in the Bible. God has given his revelation in two testaments. There were two angels to testify at this resurrection and ascension. There will be two witnesses in the tribulation.

3 – Three is for divine

Three is the divine number. God has revealed himself as three persons in unity – Father, Son & Spirit. In Revelation the creatures cry Holy, Holy, and Holy. Man is made in the nature of God and has a triune nature. Jesus was resurrected on the third day.

4. Four is for the Earth

Four is the earth’s number. See Isaiah 11:12 – “Four corners of the earth” (Four points of the compass) See Ezekiel 7:2 & Rev 7:11; 20:8. There are four world empires mentioned. Forty is the number of testing.

5 – Five and Ten are for completeness

Five and Ten stand for completeness. You have Ten Commandments. See Revelation 13:1. There were ten plagues that came upon Egypt. See Revelation 2:10 – There will be tribulation for “ten days”. It is full or complete persecution.

6 – Six is for man

The number 6 (Revelation 13:16). It is the number of man. Man was created on the sixth day. This is man pretending to be God.

7 – Seven is for complete or perfect

Seven is a complete or perfect number. The Bible talks of the seven spirits of God. Six is one short of God. Seven is three and four – it is earth crowned with heaven. Revelation 3:1. Revelation 5:6 – seven horns, seven eyes and seven spirits of God – 777. Joshua was walk around Jericho seven times. There are seven lamps.

8 – Seventy is the life span of a person

Three and a half speaks of division. The Antichrist will talk peace and then break it. See Revelation & Daniel 9:27 (week = 7 years). The Antichrist will use peace to destroy many. Those who do not worship him will be destroyed.

9 – Eight speaks of new beginnings of the new birth

A new born child was circumcised on the eighth day Colossians 2:11. It was eight who came through the flood and were saved 1 Peter 2:30. A leper was pronounced clean on the eight day. Jesus was transfigured after 8 days. Jesus appeared to his disciples on the eighth day.

10 – The number 12 is the governmental number

There are 12 apostles. There were 12 patriarchs. John saw 12 thrones in Heaven. Jesus spoke of 12 thrones. Revelation 4:4. 144 is a product of 12 x 12. The Holy City is in multiples of 12. See Revelation 21:16.
