Walking Wisely – Proverbs 4:17

There is nothing we can acquire, earn or achieve in this world that is as valuable as wisdom. Throughout the Scriptures, God admonishes His people to walk wisely. There are two ways we can walk in this life – wise and unwise. See Proverbs 3:13-18. If you choose to walk wisely here is what you can expect:-

1 – Contentment

What is contentment? This is beyond happiness and into the realm of pure joy. It is based on the knowledge within your spirit that your life has purpose. With contentment is the antidote to

2 – Courage

This comes from having faith that God is with you at all times and in all situations. It is God who will defeat the enemy of your soul.

3 – Confidence

This is born of knowing that God loves you with an everlasting, unconditional love.

4 – Peace

This is rooted in the knowledge that God is working all things to our eternal benefit.

5 – Progress

This is based on a belief that forgiveness, mercy, renewal and growth are God’s plan for every believer.

6 – Prosperity

This is to the degree that God chooses to pour His spiritual, emotional and material blessings into your life.

If a person chooses habitually to walk apart from wisdom, he can expect God’s disapproval of his life. You never lose if you choose to live wisely. You always lose if you choose to live foolishly. Waking in wisdom is difficult but a challenge we don’t have to face alone.
