“The man of integrity walks securely but he who takes crooked paths will be found out”. Why is integrity so important for the Christian?

1 – Integrity reflects the character of God

There is no flaw in the character of God.

• God the Father radiates integrity.
• God the Son personifies integrity.
• God the Spirit enables integrity.

2 – Integrity is best observed in a godly character

There are many examples in the Bible. Joseph is one of the best examples.

• Life is built on character.
• How can we achieve such a character? We need a greater hunger for God. We want a “Big Mac” and God wants to give us a big steak! We need to be men and women of the Bible and prayer. See the life of Joseph. He could have had sex with the boss’s wife but he says no. Daniel is asked to stop praying but he is not able to do it. These incidents build character.

3 – Integrity demands on-going change

Hypocrites are unsecure and when they walk crooked paths they will be found out.

• Repent and choose the right course.
• Trust God and not ourselves.
• Become more God conscious.
• Be accountable.
